Siouxland Film Festival
Oh Crappy Day had its world premiere on February 28 at the 2015 Siouxland Film Festival. The venue was amazing -- the Orpheum Theatre, a vaudeville house and movie palace built in 1927 -- and the organizers put on a fabulous show. Our wonderful hosts -- including Tim Bottaro, Rick Mullin, and Tyler DeLashmutt -- showed us a great time in Sioux City. We had lots of fun, too, with Sarah Barbault and Emilie Barbault-Nizier, a charming pair of sisters from France. Their film short, Un jour de lucidite´(A Day of Lucidity), won second place in the category of International and Art House Films.

Garden State Film Festival
Oh Crappy Day won the Lou Costello Award for Comedy Short at the 2015 Garden State Film Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Our film screened on March 21 at the Superstar Theater in Resorts Casino and Hotel, with many of our cast and crew members attending. These included our two leads, Jordan Estes and Jess Barbour; our writer-director, Jon Lance Bacon; our producer, Steven P. Neilson; our assistant director, Duane Therriault; and two of our extras, Diane Deresienski and Christine Milam. We met a lot of great people in the entertainment industry, among them the legendary Ed Asner, who received the MVP Award from the festival.
